Df2020 is a mobile app designed for users to create interactive know-how in the form of pathways and outcomes in a new type of media called a Df-Map. The author is aided by representing the know-how using a combination of symbols, narrative and inbuilt checks to ensure ‘connected thinking’ (joined-up dots). Once a Df-Map is complete, the author is able to test the interactions and clarity of the narrative using an inbuilt simulation. More sophisticated interactions can be developed by advancing through the levels within the app to handle more complex conditions. A pathway must end with an outcome (dedicated symbol) or link (dedicated symbol) to a previously published Df-Map. This link facility enables a plethora of different know-how assets to be interconnected. This unique capability enables increasing levels of complexity to be developed with relative ease. The authors have complete control over who sees the material they have created and also have the benefit of publishing their Df-Maps and inviting others to interact and provide feedback at any step of the user journey through ‘Likes’, ‘Dislikes’ or contextual commentary.
There is the ability to have a Copyright owner being different to the author enabling an organisation to have many authors whilst still keeping control of their intellectual property. The fully automated audit trail ensures that the core knowledge source and every related interaction is captured and stored for ever. The Df2020 Author is available from the Apple App Store.
